Creating Equitable, Inclusive Communities at School!
We are Jan Palmer and Julie Principe, Co-Founders of Practical Possibilities Educational Consulting.

We are passionate about empowering schools across Western Canada and beyond to create classroom communities where all learners feel safe, included, and engaged.
Between us we have many years of experience as Classroom/Special Education Teachers as well as District Behaviour and Inclusion Teacher Consultants. Working alongside Classroom Teachers, Educational Assistants, School Staff and District Staff, we share our expertise in social-emotional education, including practical strategies to increase student learning by teaching regulation, supporting executive function skills, setting up inclusive school environments, nurturing student choice, and participation.

Julie respectfully acknowledges that she lives and works on the ancestral territories of the unceded Indigenous land of the Stó:lō, Tsleil-Waututh, Musqueam, Squamish and Metis Nations.
Jan respectfully acknowledges and thanks the peoples of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, Stoney Nakoda, and Tsuut’ina First Nations, and the Metis Nation on whose traditional territories she lives and works.
We are grateful for their care and teachings about the land, water, sky, and life that they sustain. We honour these teachings by encouraging equity, diversity, and inclusion in the communities where we live and work, supporting good and full lives for everyone.
